Compare visuals below taken (courtesy of Flir) of a data center case study.  Aisles were less than 4 feet wide with little room to back up in order to take images of the area of interest.  The 24 degree lens was able to capture the entire area of interest, but the 90 degree lens was able to improve considerably the field of view.
