Side Sewer Inspections
Have Atlas Inspection Technologies' Certified Inspectors handle your Side Sewer Inspection needs.
In most municipalities and sewer districts, property owners are responsible for the maintenance and repair of their side sewers, the sewer pipe between a home and the city's sewer main. All new connections to Seattle's mainline sewers require a side sewer inspection. In the event of sewer backups, Seattle Public Utilities will require side sewer inspection to determine the nature of the problem.
Because of the potentially enormous costs involved with repairing and/or replacing damaged side sewers, it is important to enlist a 3rd party professional to obtain non-biased data on the condition of the side sewer. Also, prospective home buyers should be certain an inspection of the side sewer has taken place prior to closing to avoid inheriting a costly side sewer problem.

Atlas Inspection Technologies performs trenchless side sewer inspections throughout the Greater Seattle Regional area, anywhere within Seattle city limits and surrounding areas in Western King County, such as Shoreline, Lynnwood, Bellevue, and Renton. Using state of the art pipe inspection cameras, Atlas quickly and accurately inspects and records live video and still pictures of the side sewer during the inspection process. A Digital Documentation Report will provide you with clear concise images and video indicating the state of your side sewer and whether tree roots, joint offsets, improper installations, cracks/fractures, broken pipe or other problems exist. If requested, Atlas can also furnish a NASSCO compliant report using Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program (PACP). Atlas Inspection Technologies also has the capability to locate any spot in the pipe from above ground, by using sonde receivers to pinpoint the remote transmitters on our sewer cameras.
Side sewer owners have many options when faced with sewer backups and/or inspection needs. Typically plumbing and rooter company’s provide pipe video services. Side sewer owners must be aware that some plumbing and rooter companies are more interested in sewer replacement and repair than providing quality, nonbiased data. Too often side sewer owners, unaware of all the options, will not seek out a second opinion before agreeing to expensive and perhaps unnecessary work.
